Today I learnt that if you listen very carefully to the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt" you can discern, from the left channel, some of the lyrics (in the first chorus) sung slightly before they are heard in the primary vocals track. This immersive "musical precursor" device creates an interesting reverse-echo effect.
