Today I learnt that former Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie has come up with a quite brilliant phrase. Asked if his countrymen would be happy with their performance in this opening Test match, he replied, 'Aw, mate, they'll be real happy.' A thoughtful pause, then - 'Happy as a fat spider.'
